Is it possible to create a custom software bundle for a device such as an iPod touch with Pwnagetool on a mac, then transfer the ipsw file from the mac to a pc with something like a usb drive so you could use the custom bundle to jailbreak an iPod with iTunes on the PC? My friend wants me to jailbreak his iPod and i was wondering if this would work or if i would have to use his computer to jailbreak it. Thanks in advance!

With the latest pwnage you will have to do the whole thing on the Mac.
It wont work if you just create the ipsw on the mac and try to restore it on a windows computer.

You're better off asking your friend to just lend you his/her iPod, you JB it, then giving it back.

No need to use pwnage tool on an Ipod Touch. Its primary purpose is to keep the old baseband on an Iphone. Use either Limera1n or Greenpo1son.
