OK, I just installed iFreeMem on my PowerMac G4 2 days ago and every time I check it (it stays running in the background with a quick-link on my top bar) it says that I have only around 20 MB or so "FREE", 371.88 MB "INACTIVE", 143.52 MB "WIRED" and 741.73 "ACTIVE"(it is in these same apx. ranges every time I check it) So, I hit the "Optimize Memory" button and in a few minutes or so everything is fine, it frees up most of my memory etc. However the next time I check it a few hours later it's back to the same stats I just gave???? BTW I won't be running any programs at the time of the test. I JUST (2 weeks ago) upgraded my RAM from a meager 512 MB to a much better 1.25 GB. Also, I don't really run many programs and what I do run are not "Hogs" by any means, iTunes,Safari... Sometimes I'll run Gimp for a short period and then quit right when I finish my photo edits. Also, I do a lot of downloading with the regular download manager and Zipeg or Stuffit for handling RAR's and ZIP files. Although these are never running at the time of the optimization test. Any ideas as to what is happening?? Should I not worry about it? I have also noticed that certain webpages have difficulty opening occasionally (they sometimes take a while to open) but then the same pages at other times work fine, I have tested my DSL connection speed with 12 different "Speed Tests" just yesterday and they all put me in the range of 3500-6000 kbps (Download) and 300-600 kbps (Upload) speeds (Which I actually thought at first was horrible until I researched it and found out that it's really not that bad. BTW I'm using AT&T for my ISP if that matters. Thanx in advance for any help anyone can give me. Thanx, "Get Inked"

I realize I have a tendency to post very long threads but it's due to my OCD, I feel that it's necessary to include every detail. So PLEASE if someone can offer any advice??
