I have an early 2009 iMac that is not supported for Sierra, but I like to turn on the iCloud sync of Documents and Desktop on my other Sierra Macs. Is there a safe way to 'play nice' and automatically see same Documents in my /Users/name/Documents folder on the El Capitan machine? I could periodically run rsync (or Sync Folders from App Store) to keep the local El Capitan Documents folder in sync with the one in the iCloud Drive directory-- but would it be nice if there was a way to accomplish this transparently on the El Capitan machine.

Suggestions? Something non-maintenance and transparent because I want to sync non-technical accounts on these machines.

thanks, jw
