I recently acquired another e-mail address in addition to my main one, which I just want to use as an alias of sorts (more of a novelty address than anything!) Currently, if any message is sent to this new address, it automatically forwards to my existing primary e-mail account. And this works fine, I can give people this new address, and I still receive it in my main account.

What I am wondering is can I configure Mail such that when I send mail, it makes it look like I have sent it from this new address as well? I know this can be accomplished in Outlook, but was wondering about Mail.

Possibly a stupid question, but just thought I'd throw it out there. ;)

In Mail preferences -> Accounts -> <your account> -> Email address just add the other address seperated by a comma.

Then when you make a new message, you should be able to choose the other address from a drop down menu.
