I have two quick questions for those who have lined for any iPhone launch...

1. What # were you line? (approx.)
2. By what time were you able to get in to buy your phone?

They had two lines. One for campers and one for reservations. I was first. At first they were ONLY taking reservations (for about 30 minutes) but they started to take 1 camper for every 2 reservations. This was at AT&T by the way.

For the 3GS I didnt do any preorder and just showed up at a local AT&T store. My friends and I got there around 3am and were 26th in line. We still got our phones, but after hearing the crazy preorder numbers this year I would get there a lot earlier if I was going that route again.

I waited in line about 2 hours for my iPhone 3G. I was at least 100th in line... a guess at best.

I now opt to wait until I can go in without lines.

Didn't reserve.

Wen't to the Apple store at Victoria Gardens.

Got there just before 7.

Reserve line was longer than non reserve but reserve line went by a lot faster. Was about ... I'd say 40th in non reserve line.

Took about 3 hours or so for me to get someone to help me.

Took about another 2 hours because of at&t's incompetence dealing with my SS #.

Left after 12.

I'm guessing the lines will be a lot worse this year.
