Hi,

I've tried searching around for an answer for this but with no clear answer. Specifically with OSX Lion that shipped with our MBA's.

When my MBA is plugged into AC power and I close the lid, I don't want it to go into "Sleep Mode". I do however want it to go into sleep mode if it's on battery power and the lid is closed.

Is a 3rd party solution the only one? I was hoping for a "lid behaviour" type settings page that you can find on most windows 7 laptops.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B176 Safari/7534.48.3)

If you have a USB mouse or a Bluetooth keyboard connected, just click a button on The mouse/keyboard and it should wake up. (presuming you have the Mac connected to a display)

Nope. Nothing built in.

That still involves letting the Mac sleep first. I don't think the OP is talking about clamshell mode.
