I know turning on push for email will drain more battery. But is it how much stuff is "pushed" or just having it on that drains battery?
Example: If I get 2-5 emails a day, will my battery drain the same as if I got 20-30 emails a day? Ignoring the fact that my phone vibrates/sounds when I get email and that too will drain battery.

Push keeps a constant connection open to your phone so having it on with no emails received will affect your battery some. The more emails you receive the more your battery will be affected as it has to transfer that data over 3G.
