Hello fellow MacFans...... I have a 17" 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro prior to the new unibody and last week I had a small spill on the keyboard. I killed all the power, pulled the battery and cleaned up the spill.

I pulled off a couple of the key covers just to make sure that all was well under the surface and had no damage. I put it all back together and WOW no issues.

But I just noticed the "Q" key is no longer working. Did a double ck and all seems fine under the key cover. Any ideas on what I should try next?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Umm if the "Q" key isn't working how did you manage to type your post? ;)

I was wondering that, but it's not like it's not hard to just copy paste the q from another word, or type it up on an iPhone/different machine.

OP, if you're fairly skilled in taking apart laptops, look up the ifixit.com guide for a keyboard replacement on your machine, try giving it a clean with canned air, might help, otherwise, new keyboard is required.
