Q: MobileMe Single/multiuser- why?

I know the multiuser gives a family member a mobileme email address. But does that mean they get their own calender/contacts screen, or will they be using mine? I don't want them to touch my calender and contacts.

So is buying the family version like buying 5 single user licenses except they would have less disk space?
