Q2/08 17" MBP: Can I swap/install to an LED screen?

Hey Guys,

I've got a early 08 Penryn MBP with a standard Matte Screen (1680x1050). I've been using a friends 15" UMBP for a while and I kinda fell in love with the LED screen (even though its glossy).

Is it possible to swap out my normal matte screen with the LED one? Where could I buy a new OEM LED screen? It looks pretty easy to do on the iFixit website.

i dont think its possible. different power requirements and such that would have to be changed on the logic board. a quick phone call to an apple store would be your best bet to find out for sure.
