q3 on intel mac?

i hope this is correct in here or should i have posted it in the games forum?

well, i have q3 gold which should run on a mac. i dont have a mac yet but i will buy a macbook in august.

my question is: does anyone know if there's a difference in setting it up between an old powerpc-mac or on a new intel-mac? is there a patch or something so that it's "universal" or do i have to use rosetta which might cause a loss in performance?

There is a universal version/updater. When you get your new mac just go to macupdate or MGF.
