As you all probably know, it was announced today Apple will release it's 4th quarter financial results on October 18th (although the posting has disappeared off of MacRumors' front page).
Is anyone else thinking this could mean there is no event on the 4th? The date is still a rumor anyway, and Apple usually doesn't do significant product launches right before the quarterly conference/results thing, am I right? Just a thought.

I think there'll definitely be an announcement. That Kara Swisher lady has been (very unfortunately) right about no iPhone until Oc....to...ber... so I'm guessing she also knows the announcement date.

As for the quarterly results... I'm sure they have already exceeded (or will) exceed whatever forecasts they had, so no problem in announcing a new iPhone before the quarter is over.

I don't think the results will have anything to do with the event date.

Also while most companies results have been enough to make you lose your appetite I am sure as always Apple will impress it's investors once again.
