Qi charging not working properly

Hey there,

I own an iPhone XS and have it in an Apple leather case. Recently, I bought a Qi charger from IKEA, but when I put the iPhone onto it, it starts charging and after a second it stops again. Sometimes it starts and stops charging a couple of times, but I have never seen it charge for a longer while.

How can this happen? Anyone else experienced this with a Qi charger?
