In most ways I love my new 2018 iPad Pro but since the smart connectors have been moved I can't use it with my Logitech Base any more (and Logitech isn't exactly busting a gut to bring out a replacement), and returning to wired charging seems like a trip back to the Stone Age. I HATE the clumsiness and general humiliation involved in dealing with those freaking charging cables!! What I don't understand is why somebody can't take one of those cheap cards such as Amazon sells for the iPhone which serve as a Qi receiver and scale it up to suitable iPod proportions, and and the same time manufacture a matching scaled-up wireless charging stand such as Amazon ditto to function as a Qi transmitter. Is this simply because nobody has had the wit and gumption to develop such a product, which would provide everybody with a cheap and easy solution to this dratted problem, or is there some technical reason why it isn't possible?

most qi pads today top out at 10w

the brick that ships with the iPad is 18w, and you can go up to 30w with an upgraded brick or from your computer
so wireless would be a painfully slow charge

faster devices are right on the edge of coming out, so within a year or 2 this shouldn't be a problem.

Since I typically charge overnight, for me that's a non-issue. I'm hurting and I want relief now (and I bet I'm speaking for a whole lot of people when I say that).
