iCloud QNAP connecting to iCloud using apple id with app code

If I understand correctly, it should be possible to connect the QNAP HBS sync/backup service to Apple iCloud.

I created an app-specific password in my Apple ID and then tried to set up a sync task in QNAP HBS using WebDAV. After entering the credentials in the HBS dialog and clicking **Create** (“maken” in Dutch), the process fails with the message: *“Error returned from cloud.”*

I copied the app-specific password without the dashes.
Does anyone have suggestions on what might be going wrong?

So what is the right way to connect to the iCloud using webdav?

As I understand it, iCloud doesn’t support WebDAV.
