All of my .mp4 files have become unplayable in QT. The Movie Properties windows shows that the scale in pixels of all the movies has been altered so that the height is "0". The sound is fine. The movies can be watched in VLC Player and MPlayer OSX. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Do I have a bug?

I have tried resetting the scale and saving ...no luck. Have tried exporting into another format (.mov) with QT...still no luck. The scale reverts back to that "0" setting.

Now that I think about it, Flip4Mac has been acting strangely, too. Very often, when I open a MediaPlayer-type file, Flip4Mac needs to import the movie, which can take an annoyingly long time to do. Back in the day, the movie would open up in a more timely manner. This has been happening for several weeks now. It may have coincided with a Flip4Mac update, but I can't be sure. Could my .mp4 problem be related?

I doubt they are related, but you might try reinstalling flip4mac as well. It can't hurt.

Well, I have re-installed QT and Flip4Mac. No change. I do get an error message when I open an .mp4 in VLC, when I fast forward the movie. This is the message:

main: picture 0x2a59140 refcount is -1
main: decoder is leaking pictures, resetting the heap

This is a new development. Any Ideas?
