Keep running into this issue during sales presentations and its really embarrassing...

I dock my air to get a bigger screen, create the keynote, looks great. Try to play it on my air and its just black. Controls are there, I can see the dot moving likes its playing. Changing the laptops resolution, re-docking, restarting fixes it but still very annoying. Any one else have this issue? A permanent fix would be amazing!
 
What is the original format of the videos that you are trying to play? Do they play in QT outside of Keynote? I've had the same problem with some videos that have been converted from WMV files. Every now and then they won't play, and I spend an age trying to re-convert them to something that does. Not having the original files doesn't help matters much.:(

They were created with ScreenFlow screen recording software and are .mov files. They play just fine in QT outside of keynote.

I think it comes down to more of a display issue...
