Quad HD on a 27" screen is hard on the eyes coming from a retina MBP

Hooked up the 27" HP Z27X to the nMP and it's just not as crispy as the retina display.

Whenever apple releases a retina big screen, I'll be in line to buy.

I don't find this to be a problem at all.

I use my 15" rMBP at home and sit infront of 27" iMac in school quite often. 27" iMac display still looks pretty sharp to me.

Apple won't be releasing a retina big screen, the way you would want it. The recent crop of 4Ks will suck due to real estate on a 27". Too big for retina 1080p, too small for 4K

Yeah, after I updated my mac, the resolution and colors improved dramatically. Based on my current viewing distance the difference isn't as noticeable.
