I'm considering buying a Macpro but not too sure about the graphics card. I will be using primarily windows on it as the 3d software I use most is only supported by that, but I would like to dual boot and run OSX too.

Problem is that nvidia cards are supported best in windows with 3dsmax and macpro only comes with a 7300 or quadro 4500, the 7300 is a litttle too slow and the quadro 4500 is very expensive so I was wondering if it's possible to put in a quadro 1500 card? From what I can read the graphics card have to be supported by OSX in order to work, but I can't find any info anywhere wheter the quadro 1500 is supported or not.

Unfortuantly i think your stuck with the NV 7300 or QFX4500, since the ati 1900 isnt an option i guess for u.

I know ppl have run the 8800 in the macpro but only on windows side.. no dice in OSX. I dont imagine u wanna buy a stock 7300 and take apart your computer an swap in a QFX 1500 everytime u wanna go between WIN and OSX:confused: .. hopefully there will be a GPU update in june on the macpros.
