After 59 days already gouges and chunks of the top layer are starting to peel. My iPhone 14PM even cased is not man handled or thrown around.
Keep in mind that Apple's cases have a full 1-year warranty, with exclusions for "normal wear and tear." I've successfully gotten peeling silicone cases replaced under warranty in the past, however.

That’s really unfortunate. I’ve had plenty of apple silicone cases and they’ve pretty much all lasted a long time in pretty good condition. I will say I’m pretty careful with my phone so that could be it. I’d say give it another go!

I love the silicone cases and they have been my go to case for the last 8 years or so. The only time I had any damage was when I dropped the phone. Chipped the edges each time but kept the phone without damage. I’ve never had the peeling mentioned.

There is no damage to my silicone case which is almost a year old. I think if you cause damage to it once by creating a gouge in the silicone it will progressively get worse in a relatively short period of time.

While the case stays in one piece, it shouldn’t degrade. It’s a universal issue with silicone as it’s not a resilient material.

Surely if there's gouges and chunks out of the case, that has now subsequently caused peeling, then that's your problem? Not an issue with design of the case?

I don't know why anybody would spend so much on the Apple cases. I bought a case for my 12; three pounds on Ebay. Very good fit, lasted 18 months now and looks fine. Magnetically charges and everything. There's no way I'm spending forty nine pounds on a bit of silicone rubber. No way José. No way.

Those Apple silicone cases really fit nicely beautifully though.
