I bought a base i7 16" and I noticed the keyboard space bar seemed raised and allowed allot of light to shine out from underneath.

I decided to upgrade and exchanged my base i7 for the base i9 and the keyboard space bar allows no light to leak out from underneath it and confirms my other keyboard was not fitted properly.

The keyboard most likely would have functioned fine going forward but Apple showcases it design and extreme tight tolerances on their products so they better tighten up on their overseas assembly plants.

I agree. Apple's QC seems hit or miss these days and that's not what I would expect from them - esp. when they charge super-premium for their products (which, incidentally, I am willing to pay).

Not trying to be an ass, but if I can insert my own QC.

The word "allot" does not mean "a lot". It means to allocate a portion. Just bringing it up since it's not just you, it's commonly misused on this forum.

Glad you got it sorted. :)
