Hi,

yesterday I got to get my new iPhone 12 Pro and was really disappointed about the quality delivered, one device had a mark under the back glass, I returned it and got another one which has shown a similar issue on the display.
I want to give it another try but before I would like to know if somebody got similar spots and I am just overreacting. My old iPhone 11 Pro does not have such issues at all, checked it yesterday against the new one.

I know that some people will immediately say that this is normal, I for myself demand a perfect device right out of the package for this amount of money.

Kind regards,

brokenpc

Unfortunately these things do happen, apple is pumping out millions of iPhones in a short period of time, bound to be some defects along the way, rotten luck you had it happen twice, hopefully it‘s third time lucky. 🧐📱

I opted for a pacific blue today, we'll see :p If something happens by my own fault, like a scratch, dent or whatever, then I live with it, but when it comes out of the box with spots under the glass it's a bit annoying :D
The 11 Pro will move along to my wife who has an X right now :)

Actually my 11 Pro had dents between the glass back and the frame out of the box, after swapping I got a perfectly fine device with no issues whatsoever. Been using it since then 😊

Once you see a fault you cannot unsee it. You do you and return the device. It has to work for you not for some other macrumors forum member. Best success with the replacement.

Getting it replaced will not fix the issue you could either get a way worse unit or the same type of unit, mine didn't came perfect neither. It's a rushed and mass produced product.

Gotta remember that iPhones are built by young bored overworked temporary Chinese workers who pound these things out by the millions — FAST—

My regular 12 was perfect out of the box the first time. However, I had various screen and other quality issues with the current iPad Pros out of the box and had to exchange them a few times to get a good one. QC definitely seems to be a lottery with Apple products.
