Hi people, hope to get some useful tips or suggestions for quality made cable locks with key (not combo locks) for my early 2008 Macbook Pro.

I have done a few searches of this forum and come across a few informative posts. Some discussing the problems with the Kensington locks, namely the issue of the newer locks not sitting properly in the Macbook Pro Kensington slot: "Macbook Pro Kensington Lock Slot: Reamed!"

Anyway... what I am hoping to find out is what cable locks people are using and find to be well made and securely lock into the Kensington slot on their Macbook Pros.

Would be particularly interested in any comparative views people have of multiple cable locks they might have used and what they have settled on for now.

I realise these cable locks are just a deterrent and no match for a determined thief but still better than nothing at all.

Here are some brands and products I have come across;

DATAMATION SYSTEMS Snap-It Cable Locks

TARGUS DEFCON KL

TRYTEN MacBook Pro Lock Z7

...and ofcourse Kensington's range of locks.

Have I missed any other major makers of cable locks, or a standout product?

Thanks for your time!
