Hi,

I have a 2012 13" Macbook Air which I get on with very well. There is only one minor gripe I have with it. I find the FaceTime HD camera very poor compared to my Logitech Mac camera. The image is washed out and grainy no matter what light I used.

Does anyone else find the camera disappointing? It certainly doesn't seem to be HD quality compared to something like the iPhone or iPad.

Cheers.

I rarely, if ever, use the FaceTime HD camera on my Mac.
I have tried it out a few times when I got the MBA back in early August. Nonetheless, I think it's a decent webcam for a laptop. And I find the quality to be better than the front facing cameras on both the iPhone and iPad.

Also, a stand alone webcam compared to a built-in webcam that needs to be so tiny as it can be, is probably better image quality wise.

The 720p webcam on the 2012 MBA is OK at best. I have a Rocketfish RF-HDWEB10 and the video and picture quality is FAR better when using Skype.
