Hello all. I am interested to know if anyone has a Griffin Firewave and can tell me how well it works. For $100 I don't want to buy one then find out that it does not work well. I own a G4 powerbook but will hopefully be upgrading to a new C2D MacBook Pro soon :D. I have a 5.1 set of speakers but with the laptop I am currently only using the sub and two speakers. I would like to get the whole 5.1 system set up and a external sound card is my only option. So any help with this prediciment would be helpful.

Hmm... Actually, I would like to know this as well.

I have seen the FireWave sold for as low as like $50-$60 via PriceGrabber.com, so you might want to check via them.

I'm interested in this sort of product because I have an iMac G4 15" which I put in my bedroom to pull double-duty as a DVD player. I also recently "inherited" from a friend a Creative Labs' 5.1 speaker set plus boom arm rig, and now I've gotta find a way to hook the friggin' thing up!
