Hello,

I have been happily using Quark 6 for many years on Snow leopard.

I want to upgrade to Mountain Lion / Mavericks but need to purchase Quark 10 as 6 does not work and I am unsure of the financial viability of buying a new package, verses other non-standard methods of retaining Q6 functionality etc.

It is now a very occasional software package, but I need to access historic file and amend them etc, every now and then.

I know that you can load 1 licensed copy onto 2 computers (a Mac and an 11" MBA Laptop in my example) and also know that you cannot use the same copy at the same time.

Question is - Can I physically install the same copy on a third Mac? I do not intend to use any 2 machines at the same time.

Reason being, I spend time in another country (about 3 months of the year) and my other Mac is located there permanently and is not used while I am away.

So the question is not whether I should or not, as I do not feel I need permission from Quark to use it on another machine when I have no access to the primary one.

More to question if there is a registration process that will not allow installation on a third machine. Would I need to de-activate the main computer before travelling and reactivate etc?

NOTE TO MODS: To be clear, I am not asking for advice or help circumventing any software. I am just asking if anybody has experience of installing their paid copy of multiple machines in the way I propose.
