Is anyone else finding Q6 a nightmare to work in?

It seems to be full of bugs. Problems with highlighting text, saving, selecting boxes though other boxes, menu window glitches...

and many others....

At first I figured it was restricted to files updated from Q4

Is there any solution to these problems? Are Quark aware...?

I agree that Quark 6 is a nightmare to work in. It is, more or less, a bad hack, and the .5 upgrade doesn't nearly help enough.

That's why I'm a "switcher."

As well as the odd buggy behaviour of various functions... for me, the worst things are:
- inability to handle or collect files with long names
- not sending fost postscript data to a shared rip
- hopeless PDF creation (have reverted to the old way of watched folder with Distiller)

I used to love Quark in OS 9 but it's a nightmare in OSX. I have to reload from the CD every time I update the OS (which is a pain, anyone else have this problem?) and it has more bugs than I care to deal with. I've switched to InDesign which I find to be a far superior program especially when working with Photoshop, no more reformatting and sizing as a TIF. If you haven't used it try it out, takes a little getting used to but is worth it.
