How do I edit the list of printers so when I go to print there is not a whole list of printers I have to sift through. I tried deleting the ppds but they keep reappearing I am getting quite frustrated.

OSX Quark 6.1

Many thanks

Launch Printer Setup Utility. Uncheck the printers that you don't want.

Thanks for this tip however when I go into the Printer Setup Utility there are only the printers I use are there which is about 3 of them. any more suggestions

Go to System > Library >Printers > PPDs > Contents > Resources > en.lproj >

Here are the old LaserWriter descriptions.

Then go to Library (at root of your hard disk) > Printers > PPDs > Contents > Resources > en.lproj

Here are some more.

That cleared mine out. just be careful not to delete the printers you use.

in Quark: Utilities -> PPD manager

deselect whatever you're not using

this way you won't actually be deleting any PPDs, which may or may not save you some future headache.
