I have a Radeon 7000 32mb card that has been flashed. It is working in a B&W G3 running 10.4.11.
I have found various things on the internet about enabling QE on compatible PCI cards.
Here's an old thread about. I first edited the plist. After a couple reboots and checking the plist file, still no QE. I then tracked down the "PCI Extreme" app that's referenced in the above thread. After supposedly enabling it (multiple times) it stays disabled.
I even went so far as to flash a different ROM that is clocked slightly faster. Still no QE.
Obviously the card is perfectly usable without it, however my stubbornness and OCD isn't going to let this go, even if it doesn't perform well, at least I can experience it first hand. Plus I can't stand using OS X without QE... makes everything feel as there isn't any acceleration.
