Ok, after a long research I narrow the search down to these two cases:

1. The Quattro-T4 Glass touch-thru case by IvySkin

Description from IvySkin's website:
Announcing the 2.0 version of the most award winning iPhone case! We are always looking for new and exciting ways to improve the quality of our products.

Curious about what’s new in Quattro-T4? Of the dozens of new upgrades, here are some we think you’ll especially like:

1. Improved Glass Touch-Thru screen
2. New UV coated Polysilicon shell that will not fade and it's impossible to destruct.
3. Upgraded the world’s first Polysilicon tactile solution to enhance the tactility for the button you use the most - The Home Button.
4. The fit. It is now easier to insert and remove the iPhone from the case.

The Quattro™ T4 features a patent pending Xylo Glass ® technology for the ultimate in Touch-Thru design. Authentic glass ensures that you will not lose any sensitivity while using this case, guaranteed. Designed to fit the new iPhone 3GS and current 3G iPhones.

2. The Defender clear membrane case by Otterbox

Description from Otterbox's website:
The OtterBox Defender Series™ for iPhone™ 3G / 3GS offers stylish and sophisticated protection in 3 layers. First, a thin, clear membrane covers your Touch Screen to help prevent scratches and dings. Second is a hard, strong Polycarbonate skeleton that surrounds your device. Wrapped around all of this is a Silicone skin that absorbs bump and shock.

My take:
I like the OtterBox double layer but it looks to me that it would be too bulky. I like the IvySkin slim design and all the things they compacted into this case but I need to know what other people think...

Let me know!

I have a Defender and I love it, it's one of my favorite cases due to the protection it offers, however I just can't get myself to use it every day due to the thickness, I always keep my phone in my pocket and it's a bit large for that.
If I used the belt clip I might use my defender more often.

I use an Otterbox Commuter and a Speck Candyshell regularly right now.

I have yet to use a Quattro-T4, but it looks interesting.

is the T4 a "rugged" case? like the defender.....

I know I have a defender and i have it for one reason; i'm rough on my phone and it keeps it protected for my daily activities..... if I wasn't in the construction business, didn't ski, ride snowmobile, atv, jeeps and boats i'd go with something less rugged.....

It doesn't seem to me to be an apples to apples comparison.... the T4 looks like a very nice case if you don't need something to be rugged......

Yeah, Otterbox Defender is known for being the most rugged cases out there, if that's really what you need, then I'd go for that.

If you don't really need a Defender, then I think there are a ton of other protective case options out there for you.

Quattro iphone case

I've had the T4 case for about two months and it's withstood all the normal drops and falls that would happen in that time span (including falling down a flight of hard stairs).
The case is super slim and the finish/coating has a great feel to it. The glass touch screen works just like the iPhone's and you don't feel it there. I had a plastic covers before and had all sorts of issues with them

I'm rough on phones, and I recommend this case for anyone who knows they are the same!
