I have an external Que Firewire CDRW, which i no longer need since my ibook has a built in cdrw. Can I buy an internal hard drive and put it in the external cdrw's enclosure and have it work as an external firewire hd? I think you can buy enclosures that are made for this, but I would rather be able to use the one I already have. Thanks

it depends on the inside of the enclosure but probably, if you open it and its just an internal drive hooked up by an ide cable and a powercable then sure you can swap them.... if it is wired some other way or you can't get it open thne your out of luck and you have to get a new enclosure.
