I have set up unlocking my Mac and applications with my Apple Watch, and it is working fine with the Passwords app and its menu bar item, correctly buzzing my Apple Watch for a double click of the side button to authenticate.

When trying to log into web sites for which I have set up passkeys though, I'm always presented with this dialog, with the AuthenticationServicesHelper dialog always asking for my password, not giving the option for an Apple Watch unlock.

Any ideas anyone?

And is this the same for Touch ID on magic keyboards?

Thanks

Hi DigiH,
did you find a solution to this issue? I am facing the same problem when using passkey.
Thanks
Roland

Hi Roland,
I have to admit I also didn't like the hectic buzzing/taptic feedback when unlocking with the Apple Watch, so I have since upgraded to a Magic Keyboard with TouchID, which works very well for all cases.

If the Watch behaviour is still the same after the 15.2 update it is probably best to log an issue through the Apple Feedback page, so that it is definitely known and hopefully being looked at and addressed.

As the old saying goes "If there isn't a logged issue for it, it's not a bug" ;)

Hi Roland,
Also same here. Same issue on my side with the Apple Watch. I don't want to buy a keyboard with TouchID. So if you have found a solution would be great if you could share. Thanks.

Best regards,
Tom
