Right side of wrong
so i have both a late 2006 macbook pro and mid 2007 white macbook. i was under the impression that both notebooks could only handle 3 GB or ram, b/c of the chipset that they used. is this true?

i'm reading online that the white macbook can have 4 GB, while the macbook pro can only have 3 GB. they both have a 2.16 ghz core2duo processor (the same processor i thought)

well after more searching, i was able to confirm that what i was led to believe when i got the macbooks were right: they both can really only use 3 GB, even though you can put 4 GB in there
