Hi

I own a 2015 rMBP with AMD graphics. I am thinking of getting a BenQ XL2720Z external monitor soon as it is flicker free like my MacBook LCD and I do gaming sometimes as well. My question, does anyone have experience using mini displayport to displayport cables (as dual link DVI adapters are buggy and expensive) with 144hz monitors on a 2015 MacBook Pro under OS X 10.10 and Windows 8.1/10 .

Thanks

MiniDisplayPort to DisplayPort should be fine with a 144hz display much like a straight Displayport to Displayport link.... the thing to keep in mind is that DisplayPort is only bandwidth limited.. so as long as you are not trying to accomplish much beyond 1080p with 24 bit color at 144hz, it should work just fine. Keep in mind the M370x probably won't afford much performance in games beyond this resolution(insufficient VRAM).

Yup. I just tried the BenQ 144hz monitor in store and it worked well with my rMBP :)
