I just got my iPhone on friday and it's been great so far. However, I have a question about the text messaging plans. I get 400 free text messages every month through my college. That is still on my account so I don't really need anymore than that. I noticed that on top of the $30 data plan, they also added 200 text messages for $5. I was under the impression that I would only need to add the $30 data and that the text messages were optional. I tried logging into my account online and it won't let me remove the plan, only upgrade it to more.

call them and tell them to take the $5 plan off but keep your 400 free ones on. just tell them you didnt ask for it and you aint payin

I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't required before I called them and had someone that was misinformed tell me otherwise.
