Would anyone please know if the new 2019 iMac's are compatible with monitor's that require Displayport 1.4? I know the newest 2018 MacBook Pro's were upgraded with Titan Ridge so they could connect to Displayport 1.4. Does anyone know if these iMacs have had a similar upgrade?

I hope you are right, but I expect the 2019 iMac is the same as the 2017 iMac in everything except processor and graphics.

The 2019 iMac is not the same as the 2017 iMac. The chipset (PCH) is not the same at all as the 8th and 9th Gen (300-Series PCH) don't work with the 100-Series PCH in the 2015 and 2017 iMac (Z170 for both), so Apple had to change that out and test it, and I am 99% sure they moved to Titan Ridge at that point. As there are no teardown imminent, that's the best I can do.

No one has done a teardown yet, but the safe money is that the 2019 is using the Titan Ridge controller since the 2018 MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac mini are all using Titan Ridge.

Thanks, I ended up buying an iMac Pro. Even though it doesn't support Displayport 1.4, the extra thunderbolt ports solved the problem I had.
