How much does the 3G connection cost, on 3g if you go on simple text based sites, for examples, forums, google etc. I will be getting the iPhone 5 when it does come out, however may or may not get a contract, depending on how much the 3g connection costs for the sort of sites I will go on.

It doesn't matter what sites you go on, it matters how much you use. Text based sites will use less 3G data than streaming video, but there is no difference in billing.
To know how much data you get for what price, you'd have to look at the plans for the carrier you plan to use.
