question about 750M and parallels/vmware

I have a 15" rmbp with 750M. Does anyone who has this laptop, who uses parallels or vmware and windows, use virtualization in order to run microsoft office? If so, does running microsoft office through virtualization using either of these two programs activate the dGPU?

I'm thinking about getting one of these solutions in order to run office 2013 in OSX and get better battery life, as hopefully it doesn't keep the GPU running all the time like in bootcamp.

I have the 750m. Just tested with Parallels 10, Windows 7 and Office 2013 and the dGPU didn't activate.

In VMware, the dGPU doesn't activate in a Windows 7 VM, but activates all the time in a Windows 8.1 VM.

Strange.
