I'm pretty new to macs but reading these forums have definitely helped!

So my question is about a couple of processes that are running (I tried searching the forums and google first but with no luck)...

These are running after I restart.
Im_matlab
Imgrd
sh
bash

I do have matlab installed but why would it show up there before I run it?

So I'm just wondering if I should be worried or at least I'm interested in understanding why these processes show up.

I'm running a powerbook G4 with Tiger if that matters.

Thanks!

sh/bash is just the command line used by OS X. No need to worry.

As for the other. No idea. Might be something installed by Matlab to make it start up faster or something. (Don't actually know what Matlab is  )

Edit: Right! lm_matlab is the licence manager for Matlab. Probably want to keep that thing running.

Edit: Imgrd is also related to the license manager. It's the actual server. If you stop it, you won't be able to start Matlab.

I'm good :D
