Okay so I have an iPhone 6+ coming today, but it was upgraded on a different line. (I have 10 lines on my account, it was one that had an edge up available) I want to put this phone on my line. What is the correct way of doing this without jacking up the SIM/activation?

I have heard; Simply take my SIM card out of my iPhone 5s and place it into the iPhone 6+ before turning on the new phone.

Would this be accurate?

I've done this previously with my 5 to 5S. So I know that worked. I've seen others who've done 5S to 6 or 6+ getting a text message saying they should get a new sim to use all the features. But that could just be that ATT will have voLTE released by next summer. Frankly I don't care about that feature so if my phone ever shows up I'm just doing the sim swap too. Doubting my phone will get here and I'll be cancelling my order and contract with ATT though.
