Hey all,

I bought a 4s today and need to get my apps on it. My old 4 was backed up last night but doesn't have ios5 on it. I'd like to get the apps etc on the new device by doing a retore from backup but my question if I do that will it downgrade my iOS back to 4 or will it just copy what I need and leave the os the same?

If you do a restore from a backup it will bring over the settings, it will not change the operating system. The only way you can do something like that is loading another ispw.

Excellent! I was afraid I was in for hours of upgrading. Glad that's not the case.

Thank you!
