Question about Air & iCloud

I was wondering if there is anyone on these boards with Snow Leopard and an iPhone on iOS5 and uses icloud for backing up their phone? I can see how this will save more space on the Air by getting rid of Apps and Backup files since they reside on the Air. I want to know how can I get my calendar, contacts and notes to securely get synced between my iOS devices and my Air while staying on Snow Leopard?
