Question about air not coming out of sleep

Hi,


I have a question, I was downloading a large file on my new macbook air with it running on battery, plenty of power left. I went to grab some dinner for say 30 minutes. I came back and the machine wouldn't come out of sleep, I tried mouse clicking, keyboard keys, etc. I finally had to hold down the power button to reboot it.

Any idea why this might have happened?
