I had to send my first iPhone 4s to them because it had a hardware defect, and the new one is on its way to me right now. When I put the new phone's serial number into the Apple website the black one shows up. I ordered a white one.

That photo on the page quite clearly shows a Black and a White iPhone 4(S).
The Black iPhone is shown more prominently, because that's Apple's "preferred" colour for the product.
I see BOTH a black AND a white one pictured.
(When I put in the SN of my white 4S, I see the same pic.)
