Question about Apple Weather app

Does anyone have any issues with the weather app not allowing them to input US cities? My zip code brings up some cities in Germany and Greece. Entering New York brings up New York something in Jamaica.

Any insight?? Thanks

New York doesn't work for me either but other US cities do. Maybe Apple is smarter than we think and knows New York isn't an important US city.
