Question about AppleCare+ for my iPhone 5

Okay, tonight I had to get my iPhone 5 swapped for a new one because of a multi-touch issue. I decided to get AppleCare+ while I was there. They said I should receive an email receipt shortly after I leave. It's been 3 hours and I still haven't received anything. I was, however, charged on my credit card for it. Does it usually take awhile to get any acknowledgment that it was purchased? Also, could the fact that I purchased it while doing a swap be a problem? Thanks for any help!
