I backed up the Launcher app from my iPhone 6 using iTools. It backs up as an .IPA file.

Is the .IPA file that it generates specific to the iPhone 6? Or could I restore that file to my iPhone 5, thereby getting Launcher onto that phone as well?

When you download an app from the app store, does it download a specific version of the app based on which iPhone you download it with, or are they all the same app and the software just adjusts to your specific phone on the fly?

I believe the apps that you download from the Appstore can be iPhone only, iPad only or "Universal" (iPhone/iPad). It will work for all the iPhone/iPad models that the developer supported, meaning your launcher app you backed up will work on your 5s, however it is signed with your Apple ID so it will only work for your devices.
