Question about Backups and apps

Hi, aren't iphone backups thru iTunes supposed to store all data, including app data?

I had to restore my iphone and phone all my data was gone, game saves, beejive log in data, etc etc. Also all my camera roll photos are gone. ALL OF THEM.

Gosh, I just realised my SMS messages are also gone.

Did Apple scrape the backup option because it was taking hours to backup all data? ((( I was NOT expecting this.

no, texts and all that saved app stuff should restore. pictures too. one thing though, the apps dont transfer over with the backup although if you redownload them the saved stuff is there still.

I was pretty far in Super Monkey Ball and I had to do a restore. The save game got wiped... So Idk similar thing have happened to me on restore
