Question About Battery Life

This is my first Iphone and I want to check to make sure that my battery life is ok.

I have 3g on and the brightness is set to approximately 40% (auto-brightness is on) and auto-lock is off and when left idle, the battery dropped about 6% after an hour. Everything else is off (only the notes app is running in the background and wifi, bluetooth, data-fetch, etc...is turned off)

With auto-lock on, the phone lost approximately 4% in 8 hours.

This is my first Iphone (and first smart phone with only a screen) and I was wondering if the batter life was within the normal ranges.

I'd say your battery is running fine.

You mean iPhone 4 right? This is why I dont use percentages, it gets you real insecure. My battery lasts 12 hours.
