So I'm wondering how to replace a battery? Do I need to have Apple care?
What prices am I looking at (with/without Apple care)?
I'm sorry if this question is obvious, I'm new to iPhones :)

iPhone Owners
Your battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles. The one-year warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers a battery service for $79, plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax.

And I can do this just to have a new battery whenever? As in, does it need to be defect?
Assuming I want to maintain my phone for longer than 1-2 years, without sacricing battery capacity, that is.
